To meet the needs of water users in the republic, significant attention is paid to the construction and modernization of irrigation networks, and studies are being conducted on factors affecting the efficient use of available water resources. As a result of intensive deformation processes occurring in canals, bank erosion, siltation of the channel bed, and a reduction in the canal discharge capacity are observed, which leads to a decrease in its efficiency, i.e., the canal performance. This article presents the results of studies on the assessment of the condition of the concrete lining of the Yangi-Dargom Canal, as well as the deterioration of its technical condition and the efficiency of the canal. Field measurements were carried out in the canal, and its discharge capacity was determined. The condition of the concrete lining of the canal bed and side slopes was determined using an ultrasonic flaw detector, and the technical condition of the canal was assessed by sections, that is, sections requiring routine or major repair and zones with a high probability of failure were identified. Based on the data obtained from the research, the impact of the technical condition of the canal on its efficiency was determined. The obtained results will be used in irrigation systems of the water management sector
