The article discusses a correlation analysis of factors influencing the increase in container transport by rail in Uzbekistan. Scientific methods of analysis, mathematical statistics, economic analysis, and regression analysis models are applied. Factors influencing the volume of container transport by rail in the Republic of Uzbekistan are identified. The dynamics of the volume of container transport by rail in Uzbekistan are considered. According to the results of the study, a regression model was constructed using the least squares method to determine the degree and direction of the influence of regressors, which in turn showed high realism. The results of the study revealed that the volume of container import and export cargo transportation by block trains in Uzbekistan is increasing annually. The correlation analysis shows that in recent years, container transport has been growing due to an increase in the volume of export and import cargo, other factors, including a decrease in the length of paved roads and an increase in freight transport by road (in million tonnes). In order to maintain this trend and ensure the efficient organisation of container transport, it is necessary to develop the appropriate infrastructure at the technological, commercial, technical and organisational levels, which will make it possible to significantly increase the volume of container transport.
