<p>Molecular marker technology o ers accelerated selection strategies in plant breeding. In the recent decade, the DNA marker technology has been used successfully in identifying the quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated with ber quality and donor lines (with superior quality) with the best ber qualities for co on selection. e use of DNA marker technologies for the study of the co on gene pool has been discussed as well.</p>
