<p>The following research substantiates the possibility of the destruction of buildings in the result of the emergence of the phenomenon of resonance in the system «soil – structure» under the inuence of strong earthquakes on the territory of Tashkent. Method of seismic zoning of the territory of the city has been developed to reduce seismic e ects on buildings.</p>
