<p>Congenital cle of the upper lip and palate is one of the most common pathologies of the maxillofacial part and takes one of the leading places in the structure of childhood morbidity, representing the most important medical and social problem. Current ly, an integrated approach in the treatment of children with this pathology is the most e ective and expedient one, in which early orthodontic training plays an impor tant role; om the rst days of a child’s life in a mater nity hospital and a er discharge om it, using standard preforming plates, sparing uranoplasty, speech therapy training, assessment of the physical development of the child before surgical treatment.</p>
