Abstract

Nowadays, in the given conditions of Uzbekistan, there is hardly any comprehensive technology either for processing of industrial waste or extraction of rare and precious metals at the JSC “AGMK” with small amounts of rare metals. The presence of the man-made waste containing platinum, palladium and rhodium in AGMK JSC indicates that the plant can manage the industry, having been processing the waste for several years without recycling the ore. This article discusses the feasibility of combining the products of enrichment of metallurgical waste and of extracting of platinum and palladium from industrial waste - copper red mud. This work defines the effectiveness of methods for selective leaching of platinum and palladium as well as it focuses on methods of dissolution, reduction of platinum metals and their purification from
various impurities. A fundamental hydrometallurgical comprehensive technology for extraction of platinum and palladium with multistage refining processes has been developed as a result of the research.
