<p> This article investigates the technological parameters of joining components of special garments intended for workers of the assembly department in the automotive industry. In the joining of special garment parts, sewing thread and seam strength are the primary factors. The properties of sewing threads signi ficantly affect operational reliability and the formation of garment quality at all stages of production. The study of sewing-thread strength considered their composition, structure, and assortment; physical and mechanical properties; technological parameters of sewing threads (stitch density, thread tension, sewing-machine speed, etc.); the properties and fiber composition of twisted threads; as well as material assortment, fabric thickness, number of layers, and related parameters. A special clothing set consisting of a jacket and trousers was developed for assembly-shop workers of automotive enterprises based on a new <br /> fiber-composition fabric. In addition, technological methods for processing special-garment units were designed, an optimal method was recommended, and effective results were achieved.</p>
