CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF PREFERABLE FODDER PLANTS OF TURKESTAN TERMITE ANACANTHOTERMES TURKESTANICUS JACOBS FOR CREATION OF BAIT MATRIX AND TERMICIDAL BAITS

Abstract

<p>Knowing a chemical composition of preferred feed plants of the Turkestan termite&nbsp;<br /> will enable the development of effective and available agents to be used for its control, that is&nbsp;particularly important during the period of rapid population growth and global warming. In&nbsp;this work, the chemical compositions of preferred plants of Turkestan termite that ensure its&nbsp;normal development &ndash; moisture, components of organic extracts, aqueous extracts, pectins,&nbsp;hemicellulose, cellulose, lignin and reducing sugars &ndash; have been inveappropriate plant samples for mass production of baits, traps and repellents in the period of&nbsp;global climate change have been selected. The plants selected for attractiveness, palatability,&nbsp;availability, by carbohydrate content and on easily digestible glucose, and ease of mechanical&nbsp;<br /> processing have been arranged as follows: corn, sorghum, sunfl ower, cane. Samples of&nbsp;repellent and deterrent effects have also been identifi ed, including bark and buds of mulberry&nbsp;stems Morus alba and Morus nigra (waste of sericulture) and pods of Gleditsia plant. As&nbsp;an available adhesive component of bite matrices, locally produced CMC and concentrated&nbsp;solutions of sericin protein from waste waters of silk-winding industries &ndash; found. Cellulose-splitting microorganisms contributing to the release of mono-, di- oligosaccharides inthe feed&nbsp;<br /> substrate have been qualitatively determined.</p>
